Trillium provides fleet operators from coast to coast with compressed natural gas (CNG)—a cost effective, low-carbon fuel for all medium- and heavy-duty applications including goods movement, delivery, transit, shuttle, school transportation, refuse, agriculture and more. Our team dispenses more than 14 million gallons of natural gas fuel annually from 200+ facilities in 26 states, including 65+ public-access stations.
KEY BENEFITS OF CNG
Natural gas vehicles fueled with CNG help fleets save money, reduce maintenance costs and improve environmental performance. There are currently more than 150,000 natural gas vehicles on U.S. roads operating across every fleet sector—including freight trucks, transit buses, shuttles, refuse trucks, vans and more.
The historical price spread between natural gas and diesel has created opportunities for fleets to significantly reduce operating costs over the life of the vehicle. Additionally, CNG isn’t subject to the fuel price volatility that diesel experiences.
Fleets can enjoy simplified vehicle maintenance, as natural gas trucks do not have diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration or waste, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) or need diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).
Natural gas can help medium- and heavy-duty vehicles reduce greenhouse gas emissions, when compared with gasoline and diesel.
Nearly all the natural gas consumed in the U.S. is produced in North America, which helps improve energy security and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
