Inspections run June 2-4

It's always one of the most-talked-about events in the world of professional driving, and this year's CVSA International Roadcheck doesn't appear as if it will be different.

The 28th annual edition of Roadcheck gets going on Tuesday and runs for 72 hours as 10,000 CVSA-certified local, state, provincial and federal inspectors perform truck and bus inspections across the United States. Last year's focus was on hazmat; this year's focus is on cargo securement.

From CVSA.org:
"While checking for compliance with safe loading regulations is always part of roadside inspections, CVSA is highlighting cargo safety as a reminder to drivers and carriers. The proper loading and securing of cargo on vehicles is a matter of public safety. For many types of loads, particularly those that are not sealed or otherwise inaccessible to the driver, regulations require the driver to stop within the first several miles of a trip and recheck the tie downs and other load securing equipment."

However, International Roadcheck isn't merely about cargo. Vehicle inspections include a close look at tires, wheels and rims -- and that's where our experts with Love's Truck Tire Care Centers can help. Last year, they put together this safety checklist:

But there's one significant development between last year and this: TirePass. It's the innovative service we're offering across the country to help drivers maintain optimal inflation and tread depth. We have technicians ready to help you through the special TirePass lanes, and it doesn't cost you time.

But it does give you peace of mind.

And that's a mighty good thing during Roadcheck, right?
